It allows you the flexibility of using standard spin-on automotive filters that can be purchased at local discount stores everywhere at considerable savings.
Once the adapter is installed, simply spin off the old filter and spin on the new! No need to remove the lower cowling or the accessory air dam. Installation is straight forward and uncomplicated.
Uses Fram PH-3950 oil filters or comparable.
You can change your oil filter by hand or with a filter wrench without removing any more than just the filter itself.
